BACHELORS OF JEWELLERY DESIGNING

The full form of B.Des is Bachelor of Design, which is a 4-year undergraduate degree program offered in various specializations like Jewellery Designing, Fashion Designing, Interior Designing, Game Design, Web Design Textile Design, etc.

BDes Jewellery Design is a course dealing with the architectural and technicalities related to jewelry design along with quality control, branding and promotion of jewellery.

BDes Jewellery Design is a 3 year undergraduate degree course spanning across 6 semesters with each semester being of 6 months duration. BDes Jewellery Design introduces students to intricacies of jewelry design, functional knowledge of materials used in jewellery design, fabrication techniques, along with market trends.

Candidates willing to pursue BDes Jewellery Design must have passed 10+2 in any stream from any recognized council or board with a minimum of 50% aggregate score. Admission into BDes Jewellery Design is either based on merit or performance in relevant entrance examinations

Admissions to the BDes Jewellery Design course is either based on merit or scores secured in any of the entrance examinations conducted by various agencies or institutes.

ENTRANCE EXAMS-

CEED – Common Entrance Exam for Design is a national level entrance examination conducted by IIT Bombay both in online and offline mode

AIEED - All India Entrance Examination for Design is a national level entrance examination conducted online by ARCH Academy of Design once a year for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate courses in design.

NIFT – This is a national level entrance examination conducted both in offline and online mode once a year by National Institute of Fashion Technology for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate courses in design.

MIT DAT – This is an entrance examination conducted in online mode by MIT Institute of Design for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of design at MIT Group of Institutes, Pune.
