Australia - GTE
The Genuine Temporary Entrant is a pre-requirement to get an Australian study visa. Every student willing to study in the country must submit a GTE form so that they are successfully granted the study visa by the Australian Government. GTE is done on the University level.
*Documents required during a GTE assessment-*
A. *Finances*- The Australian high commission focuses a lot on the capability of the student to suppose themselves in Australia. The student needs to provide the finances required in 1 year of tuition fees + 1 year of living expenses.(AUD 21041). The documents required to show the same includes-
1. 3-6 months bank statements (No recent transaction apart from Salary should be there. If there is one above Rs. one lakh, the proof of the same should be provided. Such as- Business transactions, property sale, Liquified policy etc.)
2. 3 year ITR of parents/working students/sponsors
3. FD (at least 1 year old)
4. Approved loan
5. No mutual funds/policies/ PF/ Gold loan will be accepted
B. *SOP*- SOP is a requirement at this stage of application and must include details of-
1. Finances
2. Reason to choose Australia in comparison to other countries
3. Reason to choose the course and the University
4. The intention to come back to my home country.
C. *Original documents*-
1. Marksheets
2. Internship documents
3. ITR(if salaried)
4. Identity documents of the student and the sponsor
D. *Interview*- The student might be asked to give an interview and must know the details about there course, country, finances etc.
E. *English proficiency*- IELTS is the majorly accepted exam and a student should have the scores ready before the GTE.
